Fillings
Fillings are a type of dental restoration used to repair and restore teeth that have been damaged or decayed. They are typically made of materials such as amalgam (a mixture of metals), composite resin (a mixture of plastic and fine glass particles), or gold. The type of filling material used will depend on factors such as the location and size of the decay, the patient’s budget, and their aesthetic preferences. The dentist will numb the area around the tooth before removing the decay and placing the filling. The filling is then shaped and polished to match the natural contour of the tooth.
