Bridges
A bridge is a dental restoration
that is used to replace one or
more missing teeth. It typically
consists of one or more
artificial teeth (called
pontics) that are anchored in
place by one or more dental
crowns on the surrounding
natural teeth (called abutment
teeth). The bridge is then
cemented in place by a dentist.
Bridges can be made of various
materials, including metal,
porcelain, and ceramic. They are
a fixed, non-removable
restoration and can last for
many years with proper care and
maintenance. They can be
supported by natural teeth or
dental implant.
